Is It Safe to Come Out Now?
Well, Kitties, The Human is still acting a little strange (I know, I know--how can I even tell?) but it seems some of the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teefs has subsided, and perhaps it is safe to leave my little fort.
Maybe the clear sight of my noble profile will brighten her day and bring good cheer and the return of optimism that has been sadly absent for the past 48 hours. Time to venture forth and Carry On.
Actually, Spitty, I don't think it will be safe to come out for another four years but ... I feel that it is incumbent upon you to do what you can to assist the Human in this traumatic time, so coming out, providing her with a clear sight of your noble profile will certainly be of some assistance. Good on you. Very courageous.
Want to know something really weird? Every time we wake up from a nap, a squirrel is still president-elect.
Our mom has gone to the dogs again, entertaining herself with developing possible and unpaid-for enhancements for the site she just launched last week. You know, last week, back before we all got PTSD. Sad, really.
I do think it's safe now to come out and remind our humans that there are WONDERFUL and FABULOUS things in life LIKE THEIR KITTIES FOR INSTANCE....and they should just move on and get back to the important stuff like US!
Ours is still entertaining the the worm in the bottle. At least she remembers to feed us and we don't mind the glassy eyed stares and overly affectionate "I love you's". Ollie is a very good tissue.
My human is with yours ALL the way, for the first time in my human's life, she is considering taking an antidepressant, NOT KIDDING........... catchatwithcarenandcody
Oh Spitty, I do understand. I went out and ate a lunch of grilled salmon and a decadent chocolate dessert afterward to celebrate the end of these elections.
Spitty, you must try to bolster your mom's spirits and be prepared to do so for the next four years. Our mom says she feels like she is in a waking nightmare and prays the anticipation of what's to come is worse than the reality. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty may, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Yes, come on out. She needs you. All the humans need us big time.
My human took me on a therapy visit and took a nap a little while after we got home. It's done her a world of good, and she is busy making plans.
We gotta do our best to cheer em up.
Yep, time for all kittehs and woofies to be strong for our hoomins.

You will have to work hard, but the sight of that noble profile should brighten everyone's day.
Well, you gotta eat, Spitty. Right?
