Can We Talk?

     1,000

So, today marks 1,000 days since my Human last smoked a cigarette. No, she's not really so obsessive as to have counted them all off one by one. When she quit, she joined a website called QuitNet that keeps track of your days and how much money you've saved based on how much you smoked and cost-per-pack when you quit.

She's pretty impressed with herself for getting her comma. In fact, she's well-nigh insufferable about it today. Of course, since she's well-nigh insufferable on a lot of days, it's not so very unusual.

By the way, I think I'm looking especially handsome today, all curled up and comfortable. I didn't even mind the Flashy Box in my face.

WOW! Your human should be so very proud of herself. I've never smoked myself but I've heard that quitting can be really, REALLY tough. Yeah for her!!!

And, yeah for you, too! You'll have to check out the latest post on my blog 'cause I've given you an award. Yoo-hoo!!!

Big concats to your mom! That is quite a wonderful accomplishment. So...did you catch the amount of dollars she has saved? Has there been a corresponding increase in spend on nip, toys, treats and cat furniture for you? Seems the right thing to do!

that's a wonderful milestone to celebrate! Many you have many extra healthy years because of your choice.

Spitty, that really IS a reason for your Mom to be proud of herself. My Dad had to quit 3 times before it "took". But he always went back to it in less than a year. So reaching 1,000 days is a fabulous thing. (Also them were the days when they had those nasty cigarette machines all over. Can believe, when my Mom was in labor with my human sister, he started again because there was a machine in the father's waiting lunge? Wicked!! )
My human brother started smoking when he was about 18 and it took till 6 months ago (at age 33) for him to WANT to quit. Now we celebrate his 1/2 year mark.

As my mom person puffs on her cigarette, she is very, very proud of your person. My mom person stopped drinking alcohol, but says smoking is much harder. Congratulations to her.

You are looking very handsome!

My mom *would* be puffing on a congratulatory cig for your mom, but we make her puff outside and we can't have it both ways at once. You know she quit last year and then started again, so we're looking for the right incentive for the next try.

Say, where did all that extra $$ go? Isn't it about time for more trees for Your Highness?

HURRAH!!!! Spitty, your furs are that much MORE handsome without nicotine on them.
13 tails up for your Human! Our Daddy will occasionally smoke--but he hates it. (It's part of his whole bi-polar thing.) So we consider him a non-smoker. Mommy makes him puff outside, and once she made him smoke on the catio NEKKID so his clothes wouldn't stink! He did it, too. Mommy is a ball-buster, sometimes.

Concatulations to your human - that is an awesome accomplishment! My human used to smoke, but she quit before I was here. Apparently what did it for her was she started working out regularly and after a while it just did not make sense to smoke anymore!

NICE! That's a good long time for a person to go without setting their lollipops on fire! You should do something nice for her. Go lick her toothbrush. She'll like that.

Spitty, I am VERY proud of your mommy! MY mommy quit before I knew her 8 years ago. She quit cold turkey. She wishes she knew how much she saved. They had gotten up to $34.00 a carton then. (she smoked the name brand whoopty-doo ones)

You always look especially handsome and good that you didn't mind the flashy box showing you off to all the lady cats.

The PM tells me that this is a remarkable accomplishment for a weak-willed human, She deserves an extra pat or (shudder) kiss for it. Take this advice however you wish. PT
