(Not-So) Wordless Wednesday

Why hello, Kitties. So nice of you to drop by today. The King's a little lonely here in his sunpuddles now that his Human has returned to day hunting.

Still, he manages to entertain himself, and today he has a little old-fashioned riddle for his Furiends and their Humans. These riddles are little poems that pose a question, and here is the one I found for you today:

A lonely king behind a white wall
Though so small but stronger than all
I can't go anywhere though I always move
You do the thinking and I have to prove

So, Kitties, I ask you: What Am I?
Answer tomorrow ~

P.S.  Thanks, Star, for my 6th and final star! XOXO

Lonely and getting too arty-farty in your sun puddle, King Spitty dude. However your portaits today are most handsome and you appear to have been de-tabbied.
Now this sort of thing really taxes our Ă„iti as she takes everything so literally and cannot see the trees for the wood! But we have, we think, sorted it out. All we had to do was lick our lips lots and ponder hard to get our teefs into it, and then we think we we have licked that darn riddle into shape. Personally we'd rather be giving our furs a good tongue-lashing but it would be very rude not to oblige you with a response - be a bit like showing a bottom of disrespect only from our mouths.

We hope you will likewise join in with our little challenge on today's blog!

Well, we have know clue and the Mom's not any help, either. She's plumb fizzled out from getting the new digs ready. But the ladeez think you're looking very sultry today, Spitster. xoxoxo

Dood, this is driving the Mommy mad. She thinks she might have the answer but doesn't know if she should say. We would hate for her to have a slip of the tongue and ruin it fur everybody else. Happy Wednesday! xoxo

I have NO clue! And don't ask my human - she is lousy at riddles. BTW, the calendar is on its way to you!

We have no clue and our mom is no help since her brain is frazzled after working on a map for over 2 hours for work only to have it disappear!

Why King Spitty thank you for your two entries to my bloggie comp. May we ask who is talking to whom in your captions ? Is it Pekka saying shut up or Jaava? And who should make the samich ? This will help us decide whether your entry should be considered worth.
You do realise the prize is a Magic FIshie and the one we sent you before left you traumatised and claiming it was trying to kill you. We are pleased your therapy has clearly worked and you are willing to try again!!

If you could hear me humming, it would be Jeopardy. (And Alex saying, "Oh, I'm sorry, William. That's incorrect.")

I'm not very good at riddles. I was going to say a chess piece, but the king can move so that can't be right:-(

Anyway, you look lovely in the sun spitty!

We like you in your sun spot! You sure look comfy. Sorry you're lonely.

A piece from a game of chess?

Cathy Keisha said...

You're an indoor cat who moves around the house but can't get out of it. Either that or the brain.

Okay, we had a guess and scrolled down, trying not to look at anyone's guess, but then we were wondering why we were doing that because we had our guess already.
We got all the way to the end and noticed that Caren and Cody had the same guess as we did (ah, great minds think alike).

The white king on a chess board. Always stuck there. The Queen has more moves than he does. He is behind his white wall of pawns.

Riddles, oh fiddles, our Mom says while scratching her head. But the Dad says it's a chess piece, the king! Concats on your final star! Purrs...from the riddlers at Colehauscats.com

We hasn't a clue. Well, actually you gave a clue (the riddle) but we can't figure it out. Of course it will be something obvious when you reveal the answer and then mom will say "well, duh!" She's a mental incompetent.

We know, but we're not going to say (cuz we cheated). So we'll just sit here and lick our furs smooth; mebbe lap up some water...

Oh dear Spitty we are horrible at solving riddles. We need a BIG clue (like with the answer). All of us lovely lady cats would adore keeping your company in your sunpuddle.

I would be happy to join you in that sun puddle, Spitty!
You needn't be lonely. xoxoxo

You are the chess piece THE KING ( the white one:).
Enjoy your napping in the sunpuddle !

CATachresis said...

Hey bud, is Charlie Rascal right? The white king on the chess board?? Otherwise haven't a clue!! You are looking very smug if I might be so bold!! >^,,^<

meowmeowmans said...

We think the answer is a tongue (with the white wall being teeth). And if you need some company in that sunpuddle, just let us know, okay?

white king? i don't fink so...but i has to admit that i don know xactly...but what would a chess king have to prove? that's the key word, if fink...ugh...(*wraking tiny walnut-sized brain*)..erg...um, what gets proved? yeast is proofed...proof read...geometry proofs...uh...ouch. i fink i pulled a muscle in my head.
huh. stumped. I like the tongue answer too but still not sure how the tongue 'proves' anything. can't wait to find out!

That sun looks good on you, Spitty. You should take a nice long nap, then you won't realize that you're alone.

As for your riddle...the mom is USELESS when it comes to those things.

Tamago said...

What a fun! I love riddles. Though...I have no idea what it is!
Is it roach? It's quite strong with shocking appearance and guaranteed to survive atomic bomb. And it may be thinking it's a king!
I hope you don't feel so lonely, Spitty because you are never alone :-)
