Is It Safe to Come Out Now?

It has been a long, dark fortnight, as we almost never say
here in the good old U.S. of A.
Things have been tough, what with the daily ups and downs
of The Woman in the Ratty Baffrobe,
the shocking oversight that deprived the world of Pope Spitty I,
and the twin disappointments of tardy food and vanishing playtimes.
It is the Ides of March, Kitties, and
I hear the satisfying scrape of Knives being readied.

Spitty, our Mommy had the Dreaded Influenza when she turned 30. She says she cannot imagine how anyone older can live thru it...

Um, we're assuming from information garnered on your blog that your Human IS older than 30. Right?

We'd sleep a bit longer if we were you, King Spitty, Pope-of -no-hope. You never know what the weekend will bring in terms of germ resurrection.

Spitty dear, I'm going to see if I can fit in the cat teleporter. If I can, I will pop over, give you all the scritches and cuddles you want, I will swing any stringy toy you have, and I will even give you nip and chicken! Then we'll get your mom some chicken soup and a new bathrobe!

Star says: And I'll pop over with my mom and will snuggle you and lick your head when my mom is done annoying you. Purrrrrr
By the way, of course you can count on us to stand by you during this tough time, we loves you!

Geez! If a human were sick that long around HERE, she would have been replaced by now! I mean, it is said they are unwell, but hey, a kitty's got needs, you know!

Gosh, we hope the Mom feels better really soon. That is a long time to be sick. We sure send some purrs to her but probably a little late. That is too bad that you missed the Pope assignment. Take care.

Not sure if your human has continued to try to go to work the latter part of this week, but if she has, you will both be glad about the weekend. And, hey, St Patty's Day is coming too!

oh, it most certainly is not safe to come out, Spitty. That is IF you are horrid despot and dictatorial oppressor of kittehs, like some humans I know. Please see my bloggie for all teh gory details. Sounds like Mrs. Ratty Baffrobe can barely oppress a cough, let alone you, so tell her I take pity and shall spare her.
Good luck this weekend and I hope she pulls through. for your sake. I remember Mrs. W. was pretty hard on the eyes last December. Sick as a dog? I'll say.

Dearest Spitty,
#1 Kiss your Mommy - Lots
#2 Run around your cat dish and rub your head under her chin
#3 The 3 a.m. Wakeup Call - Go to the furthest place from your human's sleeping place and wail loudly and pitifully. When she finally gets up to investigate the problem, assume a sleeping position and keep your eyes tightly closed. Wait 15 minutes after your human returns to bed, then repeat.
#4 - The Calculated Ignore Game
My funnest game is to stroll slowly past my human when she is sitting down, trailing my tail across her leg in a loving manner. I'll then rub my face on the corner of the coffee table, all the time purring and putting on a display of affection. When she attempts to pet me or lure me onto her lap, I'll casually saunter away, leaving her bewildered and frustrated. Works for me!
Kisses
Nellie

Ratty bathrobes are best. Remember that you wear the same old furs everyday, and they probably don't look immaculate all the time. Bet you like to curl up on that bathrobe when your mom's not wearing it.
