Kitties, It's been a brutal three days. The Human has been home sick and feeling really, truly, awfully sorry for herself and not paying anywhere near enough attention to me.
Oh, she's been feeding me (when she remembers, that is), and once in awhile she says, "Oh, hi, Spitty" as she staggers past on her way to pour some more 7-Up. She hardly plays with me and last night when I graciously offered to keep her company on the bed (something I rarely do), I got a kick for my troubles. Oh, yes, she says it was inadvertent, but I have my doubts, Kitties, I have my doubts.
Mostly, it's been a "fend-for-yourself" kind of week thus far. The King is not amused.

Justz wait till she getz better (which hopefully soon), then you can show her who's bossz~
Youll have to be patient with The Human, Spitty. They just have NO endurance AT ALL...
Pay backs is a b... Kitty, no! Get off this keyboard! Sorry Spitty...I wanted to say before potty-mouth started...Mom will feel better soon. Try not to be too hard on her...yeah, that flu is horrible...but she'll be back to her old self soon...
Hugs,
Mummy (I'm almost shame to say)
WELL, Spitty, we send our wishes for healing to your human. But Mom also was reading that the H1N1 flu (BIRD flu, dontcha know!) can be passed from humans to cats. So if you start to act fluey, your human should take note. An additional reason for the humans to get their flu shots, to protect their pets!
When she is better, she ought to make up to you with MANY extra treats, brushies, pets, playtime, etc
We know your mommy feels really bad because the flu is AWFUL! We are sure she will make it up to you :)
Spitty, pack your bags, load up the Furrari, and head on over here. The mom says she'll pay lots of attention to you until your human feels better. And Zoey says she needs some company.
You best keep your distance cos humans can give cats the flu and it can be fatal. Hope she gets to feeling better so she'll treat you in the kingly manner you deserve to be treated. In the meantime, teleport over here and I'll hold your paw and whisper sweet nothings in your ear.
Spitty be nice to your poor human. The flu is no fun.
Spitty, I typed out a LONG comment and blogger ate it. GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
you know they say the purr has healing properties.. maybe if you go and sit on her and purr she'll get better faster
Having a sickie human on your paws is no fun at all. But I really think you need to take care of her. Otherwise she'll get even more pitiful.
And look at the bright side. At least you don't have to put pills down her throat.
Aww Spitty! You poor neglected kitty cat! Silly humans, they get sick way more often than cats! They must be gross and covered in germs huh?! Still, I hope she gets better soon. For your sake of course ;)
Barf flu or influenza flu?
Either way, this ain't good, Spittola...busted humans are SO overly self-absorbed.
Naturally OUR Mommy hopes you feel better for entirely different reasons than we do! Get well soon, Human.
How thoughtless of your human not to hire a replacement while she has been unwell.
We hope your purrson is better soon. Purring kitties are better than chick-hen soup for making peeps feel better. At least yours is still posting, our lazy mom probably wouldn't, and the moaning? OMC!
Our deepest sympathies for the hardships you are enduring!
Poor neglected Spitty... And you with nothing but the company of a bevey of beautiful ladycats to keep you company.. the horrors..
We hope your mom feels better fast! And that you get the attention you so deserve!
Star says: Let me know when it's my turn to come and snuggle you, Spitty, because you really shouldn't be left alone at a time like this. Sick humans are so annoying.. They sneeze, they cough, they disturb our naps.. ugh! Purrrs
You are woefully neglected. Make her suffer when she's better, and in the meantime fur up the house. Maybe invite us all over for a party ?
Dude... that is HORRIBLE behaviour. I think a nice hairball is in order (but not in her slippers. She is still your mummy.)
Spitty - That is such a reproachful stare. Maybe this is the real reason the human forget to feed you dinner a couple of nights ago. The flu was upon your Human & she was symptomatic.
Here is main sickness differences between Humans & cats. Humans display weakness as soon as they sense their bodies start to go out of wack. Then they use it for secondary gain (look it up).
Cats retain their wild ferosciousness can be at deaths door (unknown address) and still hide their pains & agony. No sickness after the Vets closes on Friday night that is.
Be forgiving of your Human, but stay away from her while she is in her weakened state. Oh - Please wash your hands frequently and stay out of her bed.
Remember her beautiful shoes on her shoe rack, Spitty? She's not been brushing you, we assume...now, let's put that together and see what we get...No brushing, means you have to groom yourself...which means ingesting quite a bit of fur....and all that ingested fur needs to go somewhere. Guess what those shoes are for? ;)
Spitty, take it easy on your human. We hear the flu can be terrible for humans. We're sending her purrs for a quick recovery!
BTW, just remember you can hold this against her for months, if not years to come--blackmail can work!
I like Fuzzy Tales ways of thinking! Yes I do!
LOL you surely don't look impressed and a kick too, sounds to me payback needs to come due.
Oh buddy - that's pawful to kick you when you finally trust her enough to snuggle in bed. Sorry you human has the flu - M says that is NOT fun at all.
Oh gosh, HOW can you be treated that way?!? This is an outrage!!! Btw hope the human gets better soon
And I just bet you aren't! Boy-oh-boy.. flu.
When she's all better, I bet your mom is gonna make up for everything with lots of extra love and treats. In the meantime, come on over to my house. No one has the flu, here. Promise.
Purrs.
Boo on the flu Spitty! Hang in there pal!
Oh you are suffering Spitty..MOL at least your getting fed :) Hope Humom feels better real soon, xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
Why can't humans hide their sicky suffering type stuff like we do!! They are so feeble!
The Staff said "poor mom" but she's a sucker for a sob story!!
Poor Spitty :( Your mom should really hire some replacement staff while she is out sick!
Humans are such wimps! You would think our dad was on his last legs if he so much as sneezes.
Spitty, you certainly are feeling sorry for yourself. It is definitely time for you to man-up and give your mom some of the TLC you expect from here. No more whining allowed! Special purrs and hugs for your mom from the kitties at www.thecatonmyhead.com, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette And a hug or two for you too, of course.
My dearest Spitty I feel for you I really do . . but us humans have to stick together and so I am sending hugs for your human in the hope that she feels better soon and I am sure once she is better you will once again be treated with the respect you so rightfully demand xx
Oh, Spitty, we sure hope your human gets better soon. Mostly so that she can do a better job with her duties for you. But also because that flu is horrid, from what we hear.

your poor human! We feel so bad for her! Hoping she is over this awful flu soon!
oh Spits...this just stinks. like an old bathrobe and used tissues, I'll bet. well, just be grateful she doesn't get close and cover you wif cough-drop and nyquil breaf. but you should try to be Kind and Saint-like and go curl up on her one more time, no matter how many wheezy, gurgly noises she makes. It will make her feel better. and help yer chances at becoming Pope.
Oh dear Spitty we hope your Mom feels better. Give her our purrs
Maybe it is better you stay away from her germs.
