The Human met some friends at the Cliff House, a notable tourist trap,
but still not bad for an early weeknight dinner. While they ate, I lounged
about outside and kept my eye on the ruins of the Sutro Baffs,
which burned down in 1966, almost fifty years ago.
How can baffs burn down? I don't get it. Well, no loss, surely.
They can't have been any use to Kitties.

eeek - water. Perhaps we should send Sampo to investigate.
We're kinda glad they burned. MOL!
um...maybe kitties burned it down!
You look lovely against that scenery there Spitty
We had to ask Mommy to google Sutro Baffs. Why would they build a swimming pool right next to the largest swimming pool? Hmmmm.
whoa! you didn't go inside? our human say the shrimp salad isn't bad :)
emma and buster
My human photographed a heavy metal band called Dark Angel in the 1980s at those baths! The photos are still around somewhere - they came out pretty nicely.
MOL, I get the implication, if it's not for the kitty, it may as well not exist, right!
Star says: Water baffs... Ugh, what are those humans thinking? Speaking of baffs... Feeling the need for a good ear licking? Purrrrrr
We think it looks like a good sniffing place, but we are dogs. Lee and Phod
Tell you what, getting the ToeHawk baff was VERY nice. Hope you didn't have to pick your reefs.
A Viceroyship for me would be very nice. I didn't think about Queen Nellie. Of course I can be a Viceroy! xxooxx
Gosh...that's a lot of water...I can totally understand why those baffs were burned down....BAD baffs.....BAD!!!
Kitty Hugs, Sammy

Oh..That's where the Suro Baffs are! Mom wants to go see...but I won't be coming along..No water baff for me thank you very much! Can I come join you Spitty...we can count dust bunnies together...heh...heh

We have no idea how those baffs could have burned down, Spitty. But we kittehs say "good riddance!"
Mebbe the baffs used some liquid other than water. Something that burns, like dry-cleaning fluid (although we dont understand how theres a dry fluid)...
You know... I think ol' peepers read 'bout that place in a book once. A book that takes place kind of near where you live.
Purrs,
Nissy
Mum says it looks lovely there, but I can't see what he big attraction is.
Mom says she can't believe the Cliff House still exists. She says it was old when she was a kid. That is a great photo Spitty, especially as you are in it. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
*shudder*
don stand (or flop, as it were) so close, Spitty! you don't want to fall in. Also - what kind of Tourist Spot is that? Fire? Water? what else they got, little childrens who pull tails? Sounds like a new level on Dante's InBafferno, if you ask me. Hope you are going home soonsies.
Spitty we think you got the best end of that deal!!
That is weird, Spitty...baffs that burn.
Shouldn't that read Burn Baby Burn, or something like that. Did you set those baths on fire, Spitty? Did you? Did you see the job I did on TW's arm?
