Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Well, the Human did not, of course, but she went today and somehow she decided that was more interesting than me. We'll see, Kitties, won't we?

The only winning part of the day came with the introduction
of four of the Oracle crew. They looked happy
and handsome and stuff. But watching
the America's Cup is still like watching paint dry.
Here is the third (or perhaps the fourth)--it was hard to keep track--
hapless Giants pitcher of the afternoon. He looks like he's
doing a good job, doesn't he? Alas, no.
Late in the game, the players lined up along the dugout railing to--
what? show they weren't afraid to watch? pray? use the Vulcan
mind-meld? Too little, too late.
                                   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *   *
At least the sign in the parking lot was
sufficiently ungrammatical to amuse the Human.

What do they charge right cars?

Vulcan mind-meld ... bwahahaha!

Well, your team spoiled last Sunday's game for my peeps who were at YS to fete Mariano Rivera. OK, our hapless players who couldn't hit a ball off a tee spoiled it. BTW, do the cars ever pay the $20 fine?

Don't park on the left, poor giants

Patty beat us to the punch!
...pretty sure right cars are twice as much though.

Hard to use the Vulcan mind meld from where they are.. you have to touch the other persons face to do that! (Yes, I'm showing my inner geek, I don't care)
How do they tell the left cars from the right cars? And if they can tell that, will they tell me which of my socks are left and which are right??

What a terrific review of a baseball game. The sign is just purrfect. Hope all of you have a great day.

I totally loved the comments! There is nothing I could possibly say to best those! Patty got there first and man, I watched my mommy laff this early!

We do like to play ball too Spitty!

Spitty, our mommy thinks baseball is like watching paint dry. That's what she says anytime she's asked. She used to go to Giants games when she was a kid, and the only thing she liked were the sandwiches her grandma used to make. Bet you can't take food in any more! Dad still follows the Giants and the 49ers (Mom says not as boring). Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

Spitty, I would say sorry your team lost, but it seems like you couldn't care less about the result. I don't understand it anyway and think your mum should have stayed home to wait serve your every need.

To have a bristish and "right" car is for free, isn't it? I never saw a baseball game, bet they have no clue here about baseball. But I love all games with balls, I'm a "ballonet" LOL (and therefore no one would take me out to the ball game)

ANGEL ABBYGRACE said...

Oh dear Spitty. Well guess what? I think you were better off back at home in your pink bed than at the ball park.

Saku said...

We donts think you'd like the ball game either. Especially if your human is like our mom, she yells at the tv when the ball game is on.

What mom? That's foot ball. Well, it's still a ball right?

Anyway, we thinks you had the best day, being at home and doing what kitties do best, MOL

Spitty, Kitshka can't stop meowing about you and how great you are! Hmpf.

wow Spitty, considering how BAD SF is this year, you have every right to be shocked about your human's choice!

Are there right cars? Or wrong cars? Or possibly up and down cars? Wonder what their fees might bee? (*snicker*)

I don't understand how the humans go to these things when they could be with you, Laughed at the sign. Hugs GJ x

I must say I agree with your human Spitty. The America Cup, for all of its last minute excitement, was a perfect example of a huge waste of money. And although I do appreciate sports, even professional ones, I also think that "big time" sport teams are nothing more than ways for a few to make big bucks doing nothing worthwhile. Too bad we pay so much attention to them (and for them)!

Hmmm... Would those be British cars or somethin'? Cars you drive on the left-hand side of the road? That's as good a guess as any, I should think.

At first glance, we assumed it was to make the words fit on the sign, but then we realized tha "cars left" fits just as well and makes more sense...

Kind of a "rally cap"thing at the fence, but without the caps turned backwards. Yep, kind of a we all stand together, we're a team, win or lose.
Looks like a nice day for that meaningless activity, when she could have been home with you....Doing you bidding, attending to your every need......harumpph.

Our baseball team is finito for the year too.

The sailing was not like watching paint dry. Sorry you didn't like it. Were the people there Mericky people or Aussie or Brits?

We have never been to a game, they don't have them over here. Looks like a fab day out xx00xx
