Spitty's On the Case

So, this is the sight that greeted the Human as she walked
from the garage to the front door this very afternoon
(yes, this afternoon, February 10, 2015).
"Hmm," she thought. "Is this a Valentine's Day tree I spy?"

As she entered the lobby of our building, however,
she spied the tell-tale signs of the VDT's suspicious origins:

She reached our landing & saw the trail continued upward:

But it was the end of a long day and she was disinclined to follow
the needle-trail all the way to its source.

When she came inside, she asked me, "Spitty, did you see who put that crispy ole Christmas Tree out there today?"
Well, Kitties, I mean, of course I did.
But I'm not telling.

Was it our lovely neighbor, Dick? Oh no, wait--his is still on his patio. Plus, if he couldn't drag it to the curb, I doubt he'd drag it to your place and then out again. What the heck was *I* thinking.

HAH! I guess your building doesn’t collect the trees like ours does. They give them a proper burial by first wrapping them in a funeral blankie. It’s quite the procedure. Frankly, my peeps put our tree in a plastic tree bag and drive it somewhere in the woods where no one can find the body.

Glad they removed the fire hazard to outside.

C'mon Spitty. I think it's the ethical thing to do to dob this person in. They've littered needles all over the common staircase and then dumped the tree outside in the expectation that someone else will assume responsibility and pick up the expense of getting rid of it. This is not acceptable. They know it but they're hoping to get away with it. Since you have the means of getting them to act like a mature adult, I think you should - although, I do accept the merits of Photo Cache's suggestion: that you accept grateful thanks in the form of toona.

can you whisper the name in my ear? I will keep that secret :o) My cousin "forgot" her christmas tree once too... and instead to dump it, she used it for the easter eggs... it anyway had not more than 3 needles that time :o)

We saw some very late removal of trees in our neighborhood this year as well. Our dad makes Mom have everything Christmas related put away by Ground Hog Day. and we don't even get real trees. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
