Ahhhhh, yes. Right there, right there is gooooood.
Brush, and brush, and brush . . .
Hey! Who said you could stop?

In the news:
This is our street, looking up to the hospital two blocks away.
It's a bit hazy today, but not as bad as yesterday.
They say the winds will kick up over the weekend,
and that will mean we'll be smokier tomorrow.
The Human says she feels like she's been sucking down Winstons again.
We know we are lucky to just be a tiny bit uncomfortable.
The losses up north are incalculable.
Only a light dusting of ash on the roof of the Human's car today.
(And frankly, it was none too clean to begin with.)

Don't let the ash sit on the car, it can wreak the finish.
That's horrible that the fires are so bad that it's affecting your air quality. That just shows the massive scope of the tragedies that are happening.
Yes, it's horrible. Mom says she has a bad taste in her mouth. She says she can taste the particulate and the smoke. Really bad here too, us being so much closer to Napa.

I hope you were successful in getting the Human to continue with the brushing until you'd had enough - at which point, you swiped at her with a set of claws!
And you probably didn't need to spell out that the car hadn't been too clean prior to the bushfire issues - I think we might have guessed!

That brushing looks so good - scritching deep into the niggly bits. Bliss. And we have paws crossed for you and everyone else out there - it is horrible indeed.
The fires are horrible indeed. Dad tries to keep up with the news, which is sad and very, very frightening. The brushing, now, that's such a treat, isn't it?!
We are so sad about these fires, and it does sound as if you will be getting even more smoke and ash. Mom has friends in Napa. They have had to evacuate, but so far their homes are okay. So many lives lost already. We are praying for everyone from the last couple months of disasters. Very sad about the fires. I am sorry you have the smoke, but I am glad you are safe.
Oh Spitty, as a former Californian I visited the Napa Valley many times, both for enjoyment and for business. I grieve deeply about the horrible destruction and loss of life that is happening. I and my feline companion enjoy reading your blog and are glad you are safe. Take care.
Spitty, what is happening in California is so sad. And so many are affected. We send them lots of purrs.
Aww... it sure looks like you are getting some nice brushes there & getting some quality time with your human. Say, I hope you are safe from the fires. We are getting smells of smokeys here. Mom says the could be from our area ORE-gon fires or smoke from the Cali-forn-I-A. ones. Hugs. -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews
