Sunday Selfie: Miss Megan's Guest Post

Today I offer my deepest gratitude to Miss Megan, my friend from the Land of Oz, who sent me this instructive cartoon to share with you. Really, however, its most impawtant audience is the Human, who should study it carefully in preparation for the new era to come--you know, her transition from one full-time job to another: Attendant to His Majesty.

Spitty - my intent in sending you this sketch was to provide another means of communicating with your Human. I'd written quite a lot of words about this but, given how thick she seems to be, I thought that a sketch might be more effective in getting the idea across. The key message, of course, is that you are king, she is staff and whatever you want is what she should strive to deliver.

I'll keep the thinking cap on while you ramp up your efforts to ensure a smooth transition for her to full-time attendant come June.

That is ace! And Ă„iti loves the handwriting. Which just goes to show how the staff completely miss the point. Do they read the list ? Nope. Do they take action ? Nope. Maybe the Human does need to attend a training course to enable the transition to fulltime staff in June ? Afterall, that's what teachers are used to, isn't it ? Training courses. Perhaps a powerpoint presentation is in order.

I think Megan is right on the ball there, Spitty..........(.our family had a lovely big black pusscat, just like you, some years ago. )

If I were you, I would follow Megan's directions word for word .........she seems to understand the situation, don't you agree?

Great list, mine has a few outdoor cat extras such as mandatory chasing mice and sparrows and cream tasting. Oooh I forgot I have duvet plumping and rolling scheduled today too!
Have a great week, Spitty, and we hope that the retirement plans work out just right for you both.

PS Have you thought of a pre-retirement practice run on your peeps tasks? Make it last for a feww weeks, or months just so you get the flavour MOL

That is a good list and I hope your human studies it carefully, but more importantly she acts on it.

Hey, now there's a list we could get behind, or sit on, maybe even barf on. We love the top items but does it seem a bit odd to you that Bitey is so far down at number 6? Or is it just us?

That is purrfection, as Mom Mary transitions from one job to another. We're not too certain how she should feel about her knees, however. Misty May thanks you for all those kisses. Oh yeah, you need to have your human come and re-read my retirement series I did when mum retired. She needs to be instructed.

Reading an instructions list and COMPLYING with the list are two different thing. There may be some serious training required for this transitional period Spitty!
