Spitty - I'm not so sure that they are telling lies. Millie (over on the Darling Millie blog) calls them 'weather guessers' and I think she's probably got it right: these people genuinely don't have a clue what's going to happen but they wanna keep their jobs, so they make a stab at it! I'm optimistic that the threat of Viceroy action may have a positive impact and that they'll deliver you some milder weather tomorrow.

Well, on the positive side, your posterior must be a little cooler now that it has been relieved of the excess furs (sorry, couldn't resist!). Try to stay out of the sun puddles until it cools down.

We got a big laugh over your comment, Spitty! In this case, though, it means Waste Isolation Pilot Plant, and it's a deep underground system where we hide nuclear waste. Since it's been closed since the leak, we just send that cr*p right on over to Texas where any old texan--er, terrorist--can get at it.

Meowma is grumbling about our 45 deg. here, but she would be seriously grumbling at 94 deg. The human is never satisfied with the weather. There is no purrfect day for her ever. We will come and fan your furs all day if you want us to.
