Now I'm Not Sayin' I Haven't Done My Share
of the damage that's been inflicted over the years on the front and top of this chest that belonged to the Human's Grammie. But let's just say BooBoo and Angela and Mr. Teeth and Clarkie had a paw or 16 in it, too.

Spitster, your human should lay Brown Blanket over the top of the special chest - that would make it both comfy and protected from your ebil claws.
Of course they did. ALL of you pawtographed it. Just as it should be.
xxooxx
But you're such an ornament to it in a pose like this, Spitty, that any collateral damage must be considered well worth it.

It looks pretty good to me, you should see the damage Prancie has done to our tall bureau- you'd think she was a beaver.
Hey, that adds to it being special Spitty!
I’d hate to say you’re innocent after seeing how you’re not innerested in knocking that antique lamp behind you over.
It wuz a team effort.
Our Grannie would have thought this was a great use of her furniture. It should be used she would have said!
It's obviously been well loved, Spitty.
We like the Names of the felines that have come before you, Spitty.
Wow, think of all the history on that chest!
All those scratches make the dresser even more precious.

Typical human to only blame the current cat!
They forget the ones who came before.

If it's an antique, it SHOULD have "character marks" on it.....yeah.....that's the story you ought to use and stick to it Spitty!
Hugs, Sammy
It looks in immaculate condition compared with my mum's writing bureau. I don't know who put all the claw marks in it, but I am sure it couldn't have been me.
Truly a collaborative effort with many great kitty memories embedded in it!
well that makes it a wonderful keepsake!!
Almost like carving your initials in a tree MOL

Hey! Spitty! That looks just like my daddy's dresser...but when mes went and checked, all mes saw was Kozmo...
Purhaps your Mommy and my Daddy has the same relatives... !

Spitty, I *always* blame the cats who came before me (or in addition to me) for furniture damage. The gouges on the pine ottoman? Definitely Eddie. Or maybe even Bing or Cowbell--who were here way way way before me.
