This little kitty has had it. First, there were a HUNDRED days when some weird Intruder was staying here and refused to leave (did I mention I sharpened my claws on the blow-up bed? Yeah, those things are tougher than they look).
Then after he finally evaporated on Tuesday, I thought things would go back to normal around here. But Nooooooooooooo. The Human left at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and did not return until the outrageous hour of 8:00 p.m.! Oh yeah, she said she was at a job fair, trying to scrape up some teachers* for her school. Maybe.
And then, last night, I thought surely, surely she will come home on time, and feed me, and cuddle me and brush me, and give me playtimes. Surely! Alas, my hopes were dashed yet again as she just waltzed right off to the a cappella concert and drama production at school where she already spends like 50 hours a week.
Honestly, Human, do you hate me now or something? Am I not your Fluffy Good Boy anymore?
* BTW, anyone the least bit interested in being a teacher: You Will Find a Job Waiting Just for You Here in the City by the Bay. Schools are desperate. Seriously. Desperate.
Spitty, you poor thing. This is Just Not Right. Too bad my mom isn't a teacher, else we would be out there in a heartbeat and we could ALL fill in the void of neglect!
Oh Spitty. Is it time to remind her that you won't be around forever? Like myself you're getting up in age and someday she'll wish you were around so she could brush you and pet you. I'll be over to pay you some attention soon.
That's bad. Really bad. And it's bad for the human kittens too - no teachers.
Äiti is STAYING here.
When my human was doing rock journalism full time, she was barely ever home! The two cats she had at the time had to learn to live with that. I'm lucky she does not go out to clubs every night anymore.
P.S. How does someone LIVE in your city on a teacher's salary?
Maybe you should fine the blow up mattress again and give it a real all day long go, and see if you can pop some holes in it. That will teach her!
I don't think she hates you, Spitty. Her behaviour doesn't strike me as hateful - more ignorant, I would say. It is down to you, my friend. Train, train, train. You simply can not afford to take a break from providing constant tuition and feedback and encouragement - whatever it takes to get it through to her that you have needs and that they are required to be prioritised above pretty well everything else in her life.
Hm. I wonder what the rate of pay is? It's expensive to live there. One of my human brovvers is a middle school teacher.
Lady isn't a traditional teacher, so she thinks the job is out. she would love to live somewhere warm. We hope this week is better for you Spitty.
We do not understand how your mum can stand to be away from you!

Advertise in Kansas. They treat teachers like dirt here :(
Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog for the loss of Spooky. XO
Sorry you are so neglected this week, it isn't right. I hope your Mom finds some teachers.
Humans are so difficult to figure out. Why would she do ANYTHING that kept her from YOU?
The Florida Furkids
Spitty, this sounds dreadful. We think Mom Mary may need an intervention to get her priorities in order. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Spitty, it's time for you to put your paw down and insist that your human start spending more time with you. Show her those sharpened claws of yours. That oughta scare her.
Oh dear, Spitty. What if the human decided to put a leash on you so she could take you with her. In other words, maybe things are not as bad as they seem?
