I do like to look my best. However, because the Human *was* providing lots and lots of quality petting, my furs are all askew. While I am grateful for the attention, it would have been even nicer if she'd thought to brush me out before the photo session.

It's jealousy, Spitty. Plain and simple - and mighty sad. She's obviously jealous of your very good looks, so has tried to muss your furs up a little. To my mind, she's done your portrait no harm whatsoever.
