♫ O, Canada ♫ ♫

This is a house the Human has passed almost every day
for almost 30 years. She's not sure when the people
who live there began to fly the Canadian flag, but it's been
a long, long time! So every morning she says a silent hello
to our furiends Nellie and Nerissa* and then she wonders
if the people in the house might know them. But Canada's
pretty big so she guesses probably not, MOL!

*And from now on, Hailey & Zaphod too and Nicki & Derry and Clooney & Neytiri and Rhyme Time!

Considering your history of inciting international incidents, we were a little alarmed when we saw "Canada" in your post title. Has Canada encroached on your kingdom?

OH! I love that question by Grrreta: Heeeee. <3<3<3

Hey, Spitty. D'ja know we can see Canada from our little island??

What a nice thought that maybe they know kitties like Nellie, Nerissa, Hailey and Zaphod, Nicki and Derry, and Clooney and Neytiri. :)

Tell the Human we are thinking of her, and sending purrs and prayers of comfort.

Yous made Mommy laughs! She has the weirdest story...Me is warning yous it might be long:
A million years ago, when I was going to art school, I worked in Thompson Manitoba for the summer. That fall, I took 2 weeks off and traveled through the US with my folks. The tickets we had allowed us to travel standby. We went to the grand opening of Disney World and when we went to fly back to Chicago, to visit family friends, I and my middle sister were bumped off the flight and had to take an alternate route.
We ended up in Birmingham Alabama. Where were looking for a flight north. We were hanging around the coffee shop and talking to the waitress. She said, "You, alls talks funny, where is you from?"
I said, "We are from Canada."
She said, "Canada! My brother is working there!"
I said, "Um, Canada is pretty big." And not wanting to appear rude, (Us Canadians are like that) I said, "Where is your brother?"
She said, "Thompson, Manitoba"
I knew her brother....
Nuff said, The way things are, at least one of us Canadian bloggers knows your neighbors!
Ciao
Nellie's Mommy
PS Thanks for my extra long post!

We are purring for your mom, Spitty. Our mom never knew what a loss it is until she lost her mother last year. No matter how old you are, or how long ago it happened, there is no one who can take the place of your mother. Soft purrs, Spitty's mom.

Aw, how sweet to say hi to the Canadian kitties when your mom sees the flag!
We hope your mom is full of good memories today and no bad ones as she remembers.

Star says: Don't worry, Spitty dear, we never believe half of what humans say. I know you're not afraid of any ol' toy. Why should you, the King of California, bother to play with unruly toys when there are so many other good ones about? Speaking of good toys. If you want to come over and play with my new ones, you are more than welcome. I'll even share the box with you, perhaps we can have a cuddle in it when we're tired of playing?

Spitty, that's amazing! The man who lives next door but one flies the Canadian flag too sometimes .. along with the Welsh, British, and some others I don't recognise!! My mum's aunt lived in BC for 30 years, so we think of her as well :)

Purrs for the memories of your mom's mommy xox

Love Nellie's Mom's story. That is really something. You stirred up lots of things Spitty as usual. But fun things. We aren't picking on you. Have a great day and we all will wave to Canada.

You know, that made me fink of things my mommy has said about my human gramma who has been gone to the Bridge for a long time too. Your mom was found by Clarkie and Mr. Teeth and they have her lap for a nap anytime they want to have some snuggles. It doesn't matter if they knew one another or not on this side of the Bridge...they do now.

My human grandpa is serving as a playmate and comforting lap for Blackie, Robin, Hopping John, everyone. He has a full lap! xoxoxoxo

Nope. Don't know 'em. But is it ever neat that your mom see's their house every day. If she ever does meet 'em, please ask her to give 'em my URL. Please?

My peep has a story kinda like Nellie's but kinda opposite. Once, she was tryin' to get a particular product and she called the manufacturers in California. She told 'em she was callin' from Nova Scotia. The very nice young man on the phone said, "You're in luck! So-and-so on whatchamcallit street carries our product." Ol' peerers was unfamiliar with this whatchamacallit street so she asked for more details. Turns out it was in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Like... THREE THOUSAND MILES away. MOUSES! Oh well. So much for that. She never was able to get the stuff, I think.

Please give your mom extra cuddles, today. Okay, Spitty? I think she might be in the mood for a little extra cuddling from you, today.

Purrs,
Nissy
