This Caturday I hide my handsome face in shame
to be a San Franciscan.
You kitties and Humans with photographic memories and too much time on your hands (or possibly too little occupying your mighty brains!) might remember our post from August 5 concerning delightful pandemic art, including this sweet little penguin family:
Well! The other day as the Human and her friend strolled through the tiny park, they were appalled to see that this whole wall had been painted over!
Today the mystery was explained in this Cole Valley Improvement Association newsletter:
Well, I never!

You've got some very peculiar beins living in your city, Spitty.

That's too bad, da penguins wuz cute.
Well, that really sucks! :-(
That is so sad. The penguins really brightened up that wall. What is wrong with some people!
That is a great shame. Those penguins were rather sweet!
Damn fools. Those cute penguins should've been left alone!
Disgusting fur sure Spitty!
That's horrible. What a miserable person to have done that to the penguin art.
What is the beef with street art?
It's just like any other art; if you don't like it, move along.
They could have just graffitied on the blank part for the wall, for crickey's sake!
Well, that just plain SUCKS, mom always worries about that happening to wall art in our area, but so far she hasn’t seen any defacing. Hope they catch that “stoopid” art critic! That's very sad..........people try to brighten up the world and someone else comes along and destroys it - an all too frequent circunstance these days I'm afraid!
