Good News/Bad News

So, Kitties, the Good News is that after a long, long drought, my beloved Kitty Grass is back for a return engagement in my daily diet!

NomNomNomNomNom

The not-so-good (okay, Bad) News is that I am no longer allowed free access to eat as much as I want, whenever I want, which should be my right as a member of the feline family!

She says, But Spitty, you'd eat and eat and eat until you threw up, and then five minutes later you'd do it again. And again. And again. She says, I was tired of wiping it up and wiping it up and wiping it up!

To which I say, And so?

Yeah, well, NOW the system has changed without any democratic vote being taken. And here's what happens: She plucks five or six measly blades and feeds them to me. And don't get me wrong: It is super-exciting! And I don't hork them up. And then later I can have some more.
I mean, I'm glad to have it, but it is sort of humiliating to be treated like an out of control kitten!

And don't think I can't hear what you're thinking out there. Just keep your traps shut, Humans!

Actually, Spitty, I think you've trained your human very well...by gobbling then bomitting. Now, she hand feeds you, and you are again getting exactly what you want!

You’re lucky you get any grass, Spitty. We don’t get any around here. We are so deprived.

That does seem humiliating Spitty. Perhaps you could persuade her that it would be more respectful if she put the bowl in front of you for a short while, watched while you ate an 'elegant sufficiency' and then removed it. Then you could, at least, pretend that this suits you as much as her.

Sorry Spitty. My Angel Phoebe used to do that too. At least you get some. XO

That grass looks nommy, Spitty. We can understand that portion control would be nearly impossible. This system sounds like a decent compromise.

You're lucky you get it at all, Spitty! My human refuses to buy any at all because she doesn't want to clean up the mess.

Spitty, look at it this way. You are being treated like royalty having her hand feed you.

Well now you are being treated like a Roman God at the table where your loyal girlie servant peels grapes and feeds them to you - even though it's your MOM who is the "girlie" and it's five blades of kitty grass instead of grapes it's not a bad gig. Enjoy.....

UM...well, um, yeah, I was thinking that Spitty...

Whoa! Humans are so lazy. Grass is something to be savored over; not fed like some treat or reward. Bite her.
