The Camp of Lovely Snuggles

For weeks, the Beauteous Iza of Mark's Mews and I have been planning our first camping trip. At first, we thought perhaps Yellowstone or Yosemite, but then I began to feel a tad uneasy.

Darling Iza suggested her back yard because that would make it easier for me, a City ManCat, to adjust to the wild. She told me not to worry, if there was any bad weather (or evil skwerls) we could call to TBT and he would get us in the house. She promised there wouldn't be any Vishus Deer: The high magic fence would keep them out.

After a smooth tunnel transport to the East Coast, I saw my beautiful girl (thankfully denuded of all that skeery Goth-Girl jewelry and wearing only her furs) come running out to greet me!
She permitted me a quick smoochy, and then she escorted me to explore this cool pile of stuff. I didn't really know what was under there 'zacklee, but it smelled really good. We played on the hill for a long time!
After our playtimes, I was all worn out, though Iza said she could play for another hour. Still I needed a nap and a cuddle, so we got out the double sleeping bag TBT had thoughtfully provided, and enjoyed a warm afternoon nappy for a good long time.
After we woke up refreshed, it was time for our cookout. Although we'd caught our fair share of mice and voles (okay, okay, Iza caught about ten to my one), we decided to take TBT up on his offer of steaks for dinner. Yummy! Iza washed up while I kept one eye on her and one on the camp stove.
After a good dinner and some night-time Hide&Seek with Ayla and Marley, we were sleepy and full again. We settled into our tent and what happened then is a story for another time.
Iza wondered if I had ever awakened at dawn with the weak morning sun barely shining? She said she had not, and it had no appeal for her, as she enjoyed sleeping till noon! So when I awakened, I took a good baff and went and had a good stretch and a nice yawn, leaving her to her slumbers. It was a special treat to find myself in the nip patch!
Letting my LadyCat sleep in, I went in search of a sweet bouquet for my darling. Fortunately I found some bright Gerbera daisies at the house next door (I'm sure they didn't mind me picking a few).
As I readied myself for the return trip home, my Darling showed me a final glimpse of her most Glorious and Beauteous Tum, a sight I shall carry with me all my days.
As I departed, I heard my Darling Girl whisper after me,
"Ah, mon doux roi, j'ai longtemps de cajoler avec vous dans une tente de rêves... J'ai longtemps pour sentir votre royal fatigué la tête sur mon ventre ample et entendre vos ronrons... Je dormira mieux ensuite."

King Spitty, methinks you have fully recovered. That was a lovely romantic night and you were a total gentleman to Miss Iza, the sweet country girlcat. She speaks amazing French. And you are truly an international King for understanding her. Now behave yourself and be loyal!!!!

They have a most wonderful back yard and we know for a fact that TBT's nip is well tended and delicious. We're glad you spent some time there.
We hope you didn't have a scary monster visit you in the tent! Or was it Marley playing tricks with the flashlight?

Iza Lovey

Pee ESS - Pardon my poor French, I do struggle with it a bit. Somehow, I can't get the voles NOT charcoaled... They WERE purrfect. MOL!
