The musings of Spitty the Kitty
Oh, Spitty, you are so smart to say that. I think for sure there were some kitties around. Maybe one even snuggled right In the manger with baby Jesus.
Who indeed? We happen to believe that the baby in the manger would have been supremely comforted by the soothing purring of a cat.
Efurryone nos therez alwayz barn catz rite Spitty? Hay mai blogger started werking again so stop by an say hai dear furrend *purrrs*
The cat was invited, but he was smart enough to stay in the warm cottage instead of going out to the cold barn.
Well, you know how people rewrite cat history. I mean, what happened to the fourth wise man who carried the gift of nip for the cat who kept the baby J warm? You don't hear about him, either.
Spitty, I bet if there was a cat in the manger, it wouldn't be you.! HAH! It'd be the Admiral cos she was an angel even before she went OTRB. You and me—we're more like devils. BTW, there was a big to-do because a priest added a statue of his DOG to the manger at St. Pat's Cathedral. Turns out lots of mangers (I can't spell that other word that begins w/a C) feature dogs. WHERE ARE THE [CENSORED] CATS!
Spitty..kitties are sometimes underappreciated but not YOU. xoxoxoxMom Carolepee essFanks you CK. :-) <3
No scene is complete without the kitty!
Spitty! What's a barn without a couple of cats! Me thinks the story tellers just assumed that everybody would know there obviously was a cat there!KissesNelliePS Hows did yous shrink down to get in the scene?
That nativity scene is purrfect now! Mom has a nativity set that is all cats - even the baby Jesus is a kitten! The Florida Furkids and Angel Sniffie
Maybe the kitty was busy chasing the mice out of the barn?
Tehee Spitty, well I must say you do like right at home there... although I was thinking along the same lines as Callie that you'd be smart enough to find somewhere warm! :)
hmmmm. We Cats know why we don't go in for Organized Religion. Those Human thangs ALWAYS neglect Cats!
pee ess: Spitty, those fangs were JUST for you, handsome man...xx Grayce the BITER
Now THAT'S an awesome gathering! We just know that if you're going in for bible stories, then there was the barn right? So naturally there were cats, they was just working! No rest for the wicked!MOLxoxoMs. Stella O'Houligan
ROFL. I think you have the right idea, Spitty. A nativity scene just isn't complete without a kitty!!!
Kitties are always written into the stories at a latter time as is the case of the book Mom read about the Chinese Zodiak. We just wait to saunter onto the scene and make our presence known.
Oh perfect! Gold, Frankinsense and Purr!
We're positive there was a kitty there on that cold night.Truffle and Brulee
Spotty, you are right - those mangers need kitties! How else would they be able to keep away the mice and vermin? Who else could tell if the wise men were REALLY wise?
SpittyWe never knew that part of the story of the nativity!Merry Christmas!purrs>^,,^<♥Abby♥Boo♥Ping♥Jinx♥Grace♥
Jeez, Spitty, you make a good point! A cat woulda crawled right into that manger and kept Baby Jesus warm...instead of having to wrap him up in rags!
I guess this is a missing story !!!I won't be around till next 3 weeks, But I would love to say...Merry Christmas !!!!I wish you and your mommy have a very best time : )xoxoPuddy and Mom Boom
Spitty, I spotted a kitty there on the Scene and it looks a lot like you! Good on ya! We wanted to wish you and your Human a Merry Catmas and a 2012 full of greatness! (And Spitty go easy on the silvervine tomorrow night or you won't be able to let Clooney Claus in!)

You look very natural there, Spitty. That's a valid point you make. Where WAS the kitteh???
You are so right Spitty. Where is the Kitty?? But would you please refrain from calling the donkey stupid?? You know we have two very cute donkeys that live here and you are going to hurt their feelings.
Ahhh Spitty. What a great picture of you adoring right along with the kings!
Well it wouldn't be complete without a kitty cat now would it?! ;o)
Leave me a meow or a hiss; I don't mind a hiss or two. . . or even a bitey.
