What's even worse is that sometimes, she picks me up justlikethat before I can even complain. Oh, don't worry, I do complain. But sometimes, if she puts me on her lap, and gets out that brush (did I tell you she bought me a new one, which is even more wonderfuller than the other one?), well, I stay there, And I purr.
Sometimes, a Boy just can't help himself.

Spitty, you do look kinda miffed again. And I think the Bizarro World is about to get worse--in 3 or 4 months my mom--or someone looking like my mom--will be here all the time! The place where she hunts has been sold and as soon as they get an OK from the feds on the deal, all the "back office" folks will be out--IT, HR, Accounting, Operations, all gone.
Oh we try to pretend we don't like touching eitehr. But when our purrs come out, no way of going back to nonchalance.

Yep, when ya got it Spitty they just can't help it!
Mom hopes someday she can get that far with Zolie. She longs to pet her, or even just rest her hand on her like that. But she runs, can't get within a couple feet of her.
None of us are really lap kittehs - Mooch lies on top of the mom's head (MOL), Trooder lays on her chest and well Molly and I, Shadow jus dun do laps. Do yoo nip jus so dat she knows yoo mean business?
